Kangaroo Island Community Education (KICE) is a multi-campus school which reflects Kangaroo Island’s strong island community and history. Kangaroo Island is one of the world’s pristine natural environments and offers protection to huge populations of native Australian animals, as well as being a place where people can pursue their creative, environmental and adventure interests. The school provides students with opportunities to interact with scientists, artists and craftspeople across the island as well as participation in practical activities such as native fish surveys and tagging, pelican studies and dolphin monitoring.
