Studying abroad in a South Australian government school will give you the opportunity to experience the Australian way of life and improve your English whilst living and studying alongside Australian students. If you wish to complete your secondary education in your home country then the High School Study Abroad Program is for you.
The High School Study Abroad Program allows you to study for 1, 2, 3 or a maximum of 4 terms (one year) in a South Australian government school. You may have the opportunity to try a new subject of interest, enrol in special interest programs and participate in exciting school-based activities such as drama productions, music bands, weekend sports and activities. You can commence your studies at the beginning of any school term or join the mid term intake.
Please contact us if you are interested in a program of less than one term.
Intensive English lessons
Included in your High School Study Abroad Program is the option to participate in the Intensive Secondary English Course (ISEC). This is a specialised course for students needing to improve their English before joining mainstream classes. Your level of English proficiency helps to determine how many terms of ISEC you will need.
South Australian Government Schools will arrange homestay accommodation for international high school students if you are 12 years of age or over. Your homestay family will be matched to your needs and will help you experience life in South Australia.
