Become a part of our study abroad pie!
Our International Student Program has high school and primary school students enrolling from all over the world to study in a South Australian government school. By becoming part of our study abroad pie you will be able to meet and make friends not only with South Australian school students but with other students from many different cultures.
Will you become part of the study abroad pie?
As Australia is in close proximity to many Asian countries, these are traditionally where a large percentage of our students come from. Many of these students are choosing to study the High School Graduate Program, meaning they are wanting to graduate from high school in South Australia and continue on to University, or the Primary School Program, meaning they will either spend more than one year in a South Australian primary school or will continue onto a South Australian high school.
Students who come from European, south and north American countries travel further to come to South Australia and will choose to the shorter Study Abroad Program to improve their English and have a cultural experience.
‘Other’ you ask?
This part of the pie is made of up of 31 other countries situated in
- Europe, including Scandinavia
- The Americas
- the Middle East
- Asia (all regions)
- The Pacific (Melanesia)
Imagine being in a classroom with students from many different cultures – it would make for an interesting and insightful lesson! Learning about events or topics that you have been taught in your home country from a different viewpoint, or learning how it affected other countries will broaden your understanding and cultural awareness.
