Stuart High School

Stuart High School is a Year 8-10 school located in the regional town of Whyalla on the western shore of the upper Spencer Gulf, 4 hours drive from Adelaide. Curriculum offerings are diverse, with special interest areas including aquaculture, horticulture, and specialist Physical Education. The school is the first stop on the Eyre Peninsula Aquaculture Tourism Trail and students have the opportunity to be trained as tourism guides for the facility. There is a strong emphasis on practical and contextual learning across the curriculum and many students enjoy a level of customisation in their program. Facilities that support quality teaching include a gymnasium, aquaculture and horticulture centres, modern kitchens, a recording studio and excellent IT infrastructure throughout. The school has gained strong recognition over a number of years for its enterprising approaches to teaching and learning.
