Roxby Downs Area School is located in the far north of South Australia in the growing mining community of Roxby Downs. It is centrally placed within the business/retail area of the town. The school caters for students from Reception to Year 12 and has a strong focus on support and student wellbeing. The community is young, vibrant and growing. It boasts a skate park, cinema, sporting facilities, parks and community radio station. The opal mining town of Andamooka is 35 km away and their secondary students attend Roxby Downs Area School.
